For 2024, 1st and 2nd graders and possibly 3rd and 4th graders will not be in the same hub classroom.

What is a hub classroom? A hub classroom or home base is a dedicated room where a grade level keeps their backpacks, lunches, arts and crafts etc. This is their dedicated space. Throughout the day, the hub stays together and moves through various activity stations on campus. Hub classrooms may combine with another classroom for gym games and activities. For example, 3rd and 4th may eat and craft in separate hub classrooms but meet in the gym for games!

Camp Director

Jenny Nicotra

I have worn many hats at the Pine-Richland Youth Center over the past twenty years, from Preschool Teacher to Preschool Director and most recently a SEA Program tutor. Last fall, I branched out to serve our school district as an Autism Support Paraprofessional. As a mom of four, I understand the need for quality youth programming and am so excited to provide this opportunity for our summer campers. My ultimate goal is to build on our strong tradition with some new twists.

Working closely with the SEA Team, I look forward to collaboratively creating a camp community that thrives on inclusivity and success. Our program will encompass a wide variety of interests from typical sports/rec. activities and camp crafts to technology and the arts. There will be something for everybody, of every ability, every day! We may even sneak in a few learning activities to help prevent that summer slide. (DON’T LET THEM KNOW!)

I am so excited to take the leap into the Summer Camp Program.

We are going to have a blast this summer!
